Purposes of data processing by the responsible body and third parties
The processing serves to safeguard our legitimate interests (see also EU-DSGVO Art. 6, Para. 1, lit. f). These include primarily, but not only,

  • the initiation,
  • the maintaining
  • and/or the settlement of an existing business relationship.

It may be necessary to transfer your personal data to third parties for the above purposes. Then we only pass on your personal data to third parties if either:

  • you have given your express consent,
  • the processing is necessary to process a contract with you,
  • the processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation, or
  • the processing is necessary to protect legitimate interests and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in not disclosing your data.

When visiting our campus instance applies
The visit to our campus instance is logged and evaluated. Like many other websites, we also use so-called 'cookies'. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive, are stored there for a certain period of time and help us with evaluations. This automatically gives us certain information such as IP address, used browser, operating system, length of stay on our site, etc.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or deliver viruses to a computer. We would like to use the information contained in cookies to make navigation easier for you and enable our websites to be displayed correctly.

Of course, you can also view our campus instance without cookies. Internet browsers are regularly set to accept cookies. In general, you can disable the use of cookies at any time through your browser settings. Please use the help functions of your internet browser to find out how you can change these settings. Please note that individual functions of our campus instance may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

Web analysis by Matomo (formerly PIWIK)
1. Scope of processing of personal data
For statistical evaluation, Acht S GmbH uses "Matomo" (formerly "PIWIK") on this campus instance. The software sets a cookie on the user's computer (see above for cookies). If individual pages of our campus instance are called up, the following data is stored:

  • Two bytes of the IP address of the user's calling system
  • The requested page
  • The page from which the user came to the page called up (referrer)
  • The subpages accessed from the page accessed
  • The time spent on the page
  • The frequency of visits to the page

The software runs exclusively on the servers of Acht S GmbH. A storage of the personal data of the users only takes place there. The data will not be passed on to third parties.

The software is set in such a way that the IP addresses are not saved completely, but 2 bytes of the IP address are masked (e.g.: 192.168.xxx.xxx). In this way, it is no longer possible to assign the shortened IP address to the calling computer.

2. Legal basis for processing personal data
The legal basis for the processing of users' personal data is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

3. Purpose of data processing
The processing of users' personal data enables Acht S GmbH to analyze the surfing behavior of our users. By evaluating the data obtained, Acht S GmbH is able to compile information about the use of the individual components of this campus instance. This helps to constantly improve the campus instance and its user-friendliness. The legitimate interest of Acht S GmbH in the processing of the data according to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR also lies in these purposes. By making the IP address anonymous, the user's interest in the protection of their personal data is sufficiently taken into account.

4. Duration of storage
The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for recording purposes. In our case, this is the case after 6 months.

5. Possibility of objection and elimination
Cookies are stored on the user's computer and transmitted to this campus instance. Therefore, as a user, you also have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your Internet browser, you can deactivate or restrict the transmission of cookies. Cookies that have already been saved can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If cookies are deactivated for this campus instance, it may no longer be possible to use all the functions of the campus instance to their full extent.

Acht S GmbH offers users of this campus instance the option of opting out of the analysis process. To do this, you must follow the relevant link. In this way, another cookie is set on your system, which signals the system of this campus instance not to save the user's data. If the user deletes the corresponding cookie from their own system in the meantime, they must set the opt-out cookie again.

Use of script libraries (Google Webfonts)
In order to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google web fonts are transferred to your browser's cache to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Webfonts or prevents access, content will be displayed in a standard font.

Calling up script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible that operators of such libraries collect data. However, we do not know whether this may happen and for what purposes.

Place of processing of personal data
The collected personal data is processed and stored exclusively by the authorized persons on systems of Acht S GmbH. The technical and organizational measures required by the EU-DSGVO in Art. 24, Para. 1 are guaranteed. In principle, personal data is only processed and transmitted within the scope of the European General Data Protection Regulation.

Type and categories of personal data processed
Possibly The following personal data is collected and processed:

  • First name and surname
  • Address(es) (street and house number, zip code, city, possibly also country)
  • Email address)
  • phone number(s)
  • possibly further data to be specified in individual cases, such as account data

No special categories of personal data are processed in accordance with EU GDPR Art. 9 (e.g. health data).

Processing of personal data of children and persons under the age of 16
Processing of the personal data of children and persons under the age of 16 does not take place. Should this become necessary in exceptional cases, the written declaration of consent from both parents must be submitted.

Consequences of not providing the personal data
Contractual relationships entered into may not be fulfilled if the personal data required for this is not made available

Your data subject rights
The contact person for exercising your rights as a data subject is the responsible office at Acht S GmbH. There you will find information about

  • the processing purposes of your data;
  • the categories of your personal data being processed;
  • the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data may be forwarded, in particular to recipients in third countries or international organizations;
  • the planned duration for which the personal data will be stored or, if this is not possible,

You also have the right to contact the person responsible for data processing at Acht S GmbH

  • to request a correction or deletion of the personal data concerning you;
  • to demand a restriction of processing by Acht S GmbH or to object to this processing;
  • if the personal data is not collected directly from you, to request all available information about the origin of the data;
  • in the case of automated decision-making (e.g. 'scoring'), to request meaningful information about the logic involved and the scope and intended effects of this processing.

If you have given us your consent to process your data, you can revoke this at any time with effect for the future.

Deletion or blocking of the data
We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes mentioned here or as long as the various storage periods provided for by law provide for it. After the respective purpose has ceased to exist or after these periods have expired, the corresponding data will be blocked or deleted as a matter of routine and in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Contact form and contact via email
If you contact us with (enquiries) of any kind by e-mail or in any other way, give us the voluntary consent to the processing of your personal data required to answer your contact. This requires the specification of a valid e-mail address. This is used to allocate the request and then to answer it. Providing further data is optional.

The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and for possible follow-up questions. After the request you have made has been dealt with, personal data will be automatically deleted.

Change to our privacy policy
